The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have hired members of Hollywood tycoon Tyler Perry’s security team, while living at his Los Angeles estate.

The 35-year-old prince and the former actress have been residing at Perry’s residence but have been concerned about drones flying over the exclusive property, taking photos of themselves and their one-year-old son Archie.

According to an article in the Daily Beast: “They see these drones coming in at them, and they guess that they are being operated by photographers, but they can’t just assume that.”

It added: “Meghan received racist death threats at the time of her wedding, so the terror threat is very real for them.”

Therefore, it is not surprising that Prince Charles’ son and his 38-year-old wife have hired the biggest security firm in LA, which are used by a number of A-list celebrities in the city, from actors Jennifer Lawrence and Tom Hanks to singing sensations Madonna and Cher.

It is unclear who is going to pay for the expensive security bill after the Duke and Duchess stepped down from senior royals earlier this year.

As they are no longer working royals, they have to secure financial independence from the royal family, which includes funding their own security unit.
